Tension is continuously increasing in the Middle East. Early on Wednesday, Iran claimed that it had launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military bases in Kuwait, Iraq and Bahrain. This attack has happened at a time when the military conflict between America and Iran has intensified in recent times.
Many people in Kuwait heard loud explosions early in the morning. After this, Kuwait’s army issued a statement saying that its air defense systems are taking action to stop and destroy enemy missiles and drones. The Army said that the explosions that people heard were due to these interception operations.
America rejected Iran’s claim
Here, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has refuted Iran’s claim that Iran launched a missile and drone attack on the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet and an American airbase in Bahrain. CENTCOM said all air threats were stopped in time and the attack on any US military base was not successful.

Kuwait Army Advisory
Due to the serious situation, Kuwait’s army issued another warning to the people. The Army said that if missiles, drones or their pieces are seen falling somewhere, people should not go near them or touch them. Officials said that such debris can pose a threat to people’s lives. Defense Ministry official spokesman Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi appealed to citizens and foreigners living in the country to immediately inform the emergency number if they find any suspicious object. He also asked people to take information only from government and official sources and follow safety instructions. The Kuwaiti Army said in its statement that cooperation of all people is necessary to maintain the security of the country.

Iran called the attack a retaliation
Meanwhile, Iran’s state TV channel IRIB claimed that American military bases in Kuwait were targeted in response to the attacks by America around the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Strait and Qeshm Island. However, this claim has not yet been confirmed by any independent source.
On the other hand, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry sounded warning sirens and appealed to the people to remain calm. The ministry asked citizens and residents to move to the nearest safe places and follow all safety instructions issued by the authorities. Iran’s government broadcaster IRIB also shared some videos on social media platform X. It was claimed about these videos that missiles were visible passing through the sky of Bahrain.
