
Agreed on ‘Telephone Hotline’
Ghalibaf said Iran has agreed to set up a telephone hotline for the strategic waterway. He said that Iran has agreed to create a telephone hotline for this important sea route, so that any misunderstandings with the US and other countries regarding ships passing through there can be prevented and resolved.
According to CNN, he said, ‘The US and Iran have agreed to create a coordination system, which will include a hotline and a contact center. If any ship has any confusion or problem regarding the route, it will be able to contact this center.’ He said that this system will help in increasing the safety of maritime traffic and keeping the movement of ships smooth. It also said that Iran will comply with international laws and will take immediate action to resolve problems or misunderstandings.

Explaining the need for a hotline, Ghalibaf said, ‘It is natural that just as there can be a problem in Lebanon or anywhere else, the same can happen in Hormuz. As you saw, there were clashes on some nights. When asked about the purpose of the hotline, he said that its purpose is to resolve issues that the US can call if they have any objections or if a ship needs clarification.
Nearly 2 dozen ships passed in 24 hours
At the beginning of the war in February, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. It was reopened after the signing of a peace agreement between US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Due to which oil prices fell worldwide. According to MarineTraffic data, at least two dozen ships have passed through this important waterway in the last 24 hours. These included 8 tankers-2 cargo ships coming out of the Persian Gulf and 8 tankers-6 cargo ships going in.
We have complete control over Hormuz – Trump claims
Here, while talking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said that America is performing very well in the matter of the Strait of Hormuz. He said, ‘We have complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. We have a navy, we had a blockade, which proved to be more effective than dropping bombs. We are doing very well in the matter of Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday we transported the most oil ever from Hormuz. Our Hormuz is open and we have a country that will never have nuclear weapons.
