IPL Points Table 2026 (Updated), After Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match: Finally, after a marathon journey of 59 days and 70 matches, the action of the league stage of IPL 2026 was completely over. The league stage ended with a double header on Sunday 24 May, where the last matches were played between Rajasthan Royals-Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals-Kolkata Knight Riders. With the win, Rajasthan Royals registered their name at the last place in the playoffs. Whereas Delhi Capitals ended the journey with victory. In this way the picture of the final points table of IPL 2026 became clear.

The IPL 2026 season once again saw the dominance of the defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who first playoff I confirmed my place. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) gained momentum after a slow start and secured their place in the playoffs. These three teams scored 18-18 points with 9-9 wins but due to net run rate, RCB stood first, GT second and SRH third.

Rajasthan defeated Punjab

After the strong start of Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the situation became shaky and its effect was visible in the race for the last place in the playoffs. Punjab remained number-1 without losing in 7 consecutive matches but then fell out of the top-4 after losing 6 consecutive matches. Punjab won the last match but it was not enough to go to the playoffs. Rajasthan entered the playoffs by winning the last match. In this way, in the points table, Rajasthan stood fourth with 16 points, while Punjab stood fifth with 15 points.

Teams with most titles are the least successful

In the last match, Delhi Capitals also improved their final position by winning. Delhi secured sixth position with 14 points in 14 matches. Kolkata remained at seventh position with 13 points. The worst situation was that of two 5-time champion teams. Chennai Super Kings tried well to make a comeback but remained at eighth position with only 12 points. Mumbai Indians, which lost 10 out of 14 matches, remained at 9th position, while Lucknow Super Giants, captained by the most expensive player Rishabh Pant, remained at 10th position.
