Batsmen like Shubhman Gill, Sai Sudarshan got trapped in the net of RCB bowlers and this net was 9 meters long. Actually, RCB bowlers troubled Gujarat Titans batsmen with short off length bowling. His length remained about 9 meters away from the batsmen and on the Ahmedabad pitch, Gujarat batsmen kept getting trapped in it. Sai Sudarshan was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar on a short of length ball. Sudarshan tried to pull this ball but he was dodged by the speed and wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma took an easy catch. Nishant Sindhu also lost his wicket on short of length. He tried to hit a six on the short ball of Rasikh Salam but Devdutt Padikkal standing at long on caught it easily. Jason Holder was caught out by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshad Khan by Josh Hazlewood on a short of length ball.
It is clear that RCB bowlers read the pitch well and Gujarat team got trapped in it. The target of 156 runs proved to be modest for RCB. Venkatesh Iyer gave a good start to RCB by scoring 32 runs in 16 balls. Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 75 runs. Tim David also played a good inning of 24 runs and RCB won the IPL for the second consecutive time.
