An analyst believes that 12GB RAM can be provided in iPhone 18 to run these AI features.
Citing analysts at KB Securities, DigiTimes Asia has reported that the iPhone 18 series is expected to have 12 GB RAM. If this happens then the use of Siri AI in the new series will increase and this will also increase the demand for the new series.
This information has come at a time when the prices of DRAM and NAND sticks have increased significantly, due to which the cost of making smartphones has also increased. A recent report suggested that contrary to analyst expectations, Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 18 with many shortcomings as part of its effort to reduce costs. These shortcomings may include things like chipset specifications, RAM.
Advanced features will run in these iPhone models
Most AI features will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and later models, but the company’s most advanced AI features will not run on handsets that have less than 12GB of RAM. You will get the benefit of advanced features on iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air, but iPhone 17 has 8 GB RAM, so it is not expected that you will get the benefit of advanced features in this handset.
