
The investigation into the case of Sahil Luthra, a defense sector entrepreneur and co-founder and managing director of Vijayan Trishul Defense Solutions Pvt Ltd (VTDS), allegedly demanding extortion of ₹10 crore, has gained momentum. Three accused have been arrested in this case and during the investigation, indications of alleged international links have also come to light.
This case was registered on the basis of the complaint of Sahil Luthra. His company is engaged in the extremely sensitive and strategically important defense manufacturing sector. According to investigators, Luthra had received WhatsApp messages and calls from international numbers, in which demands of ₹10 crore were made in the name of gangster Goldie Brar and Khalistani elements.
Arrest of these three people
During the investigation, the police arrested Jaswant Singh, who had previously been an officer in the Punjab Police. Later, apart from Jaswant Singh, Shamsher Singh alias Sam and Gurpinder Singh alias Prince, who were working in Luthra’s company, have also been arrested. According to Delhi Police, all three are accused of allegedly conspiring to extort money. The investigating agencies are also probing the role of the Canada connection and the international aspects of this conspiracy.
Agencies are investigating in the country and abroad
The agencies are trying to find out whether any person abroad played any role in facilitating, directing or benefiting from the alleged extortion attempt.
The investigation of the case is still going on and the agencies are investigating all possible aspects within the country and abroad. All of these allegations are part of an active criminal investigation and the guilt or innocence of the accused will ultimately be determined through the judicial process.
