Instagram has released a new and very useful feature for its users. The company has rolled out the Multiple Captions feature for Carousel posts, through which different captions can now be added to each photo and video in the same post. Earlier, there was an option to write only one caption for the entire carousel post. After the new update, it will become easier to explain and present the content in a better way. Know how this feature will work and how to use it.
Now every slide will have a different caption
Instagram’s new multiple caption feature carousel is going to make posts more interactive and informative than ever. In Carousel posts, users share multiple photos and videos simultaneously, but till now there was only an option to give one caption for the entire post. After the new update, a separate caption can be added for each slide. This means that users will be able to share different information, stories or descriptions related to each photo or video with the same slide. This will make the content easier to understand and give viewers the correct context for each photo or video as they view it.
This is how the new Multiple Captions feature will work
The company has included this feature in the post creation process itself. The user will first have to create a Carousel post by selecting several photos or videos. After this, when you reach the sharing screen, a new option will appear in the caption section. Here you will get the option of single caption and multiple captions. By selecting the multiple caption option, a separate text field will become active for each slide. After this, users will be able to write a different caption for each photo or video. If a user uploads 10 photos together, he can add different captions for all 10 photos. This will make the post more manageable and attractive.
Android and iOS users will get benefit
Instagram has rolled out this feature for both Android and iOS platforms. Users who want to use this new feature will first have to update their Instagram app. According to the company, this feature will prove especially useful for those creators and users who share content like step-by-step guides, story-based posts or product showcases. Earlier, in such posts, complete information had to be given in a single caption, but now the text associated with each slide will keep changing automatically. With this, viewers will be able to get correct and accurate information with every picture or video, which will make the experience of watching content better than before.
