Jharkhand government is organizing a two-day National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi on 8-9 July. In this, leading policy-makers, industry leaders, investors, technology experts and development partners from India and abroad are participating together. They will discuss the development agenda of Jharkhand. Will prepare a roadmap for sustainable industrial, technological and tourism-based development.
The government will release a draft policy framework to seek the opinion of stakeholders. Will invite valuable suggestions from industry and other key stakeholders. These include the Draft Jharkhand AI Policy, Draft Jharkhand Investment Promotion Policy, Draft Jharkhand Tourism Policy, Draft Jharkhand Textile Policy, Draft JIADA Regulation, Draft PPP Policy and Concept Paper on Jharkhand Foundation along with other draft policy initiatives.
Day 1: Focus on IT, AI and digital governance
This consultation is an important step towards establishing Jharkhand as a preferred destination for investment in the fields of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Governance, Industrial Investment and Tourism. Besides, it will also advance the state’s vision of “Explore Infinite Opportunities”. The government believes that this initiative will help in attracting quality investment, promoting innovation and creating new employment opportunities for the people of Jharkhand.
There will be a high-level session on digital governance and IT infrastructure on the opening day. In this, senior government officials, technology experts and industry leaders will come together and discuss opportunities to strengthen Jharkhand’s IT ecosystem, AI adoption, digital governance and IT infrastructure.
After this there will be business-to-government (B2G) talks between the government and representatives of IT, AI and digital technology sectors.
A special session titled “Shaping Jharkhand’s AI Future” will focus on the state’s proposed AI policy framework and emerging opportunities in Artificial Intelligence. Besides, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed between the Information Technology Department and major companies.
Day 2: Investment, Tourism and Strategic Partnership
The focus of the second day will be on investment, inclusive development and tourism. In this, Jharkhand’s industrial strength, cultural heritage and tourism potential will be shown to investors from India and abroad.
In a specially organized discussion on industrial promotion and investment, strategies to bring new industries and strengthen the industrial ecosystem of the state will be discussed.
In this program, several strategic MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) will also be signed with major industrial houses to accelerate investment and economic development in Jharkhand.
Additionally, the government will officially introduce several draft policy frameworks and launch new digital portals to improve governance, ease of doing business and investor convenience.
Celebration of Jharkhand’s culture
The National Stakeholders Consultation will conclude with a cultural programme, which will showcase Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage, traditional music and dance etc. This evening event will provide an opportunity to delegates, industry leaders, policy-makers and special guests from India and abroad to learn and understand the unique cultural identity of the state, and will also promote meaningful networking and collaboration.
