IndusInd Bank’s explosive performance! Profit jumped 72% in June quarter, net profit reached ₹ 1,037 crore

In recent times, quarterly results of many private banks have come out. In which Axis Bank and HDFC Bank are prominent. Who have disappointed a lot with their quarterly results. Due to which there has been a huge decline in their shares. On the other hand, very good performance has been seen in the quarterly results of IndusInd Bank. Private sector IndusInd Bank has made huge profits in the first quarter. Let us tell you also. After all, what kind of information has the bank given in its quarterly results?

72 percent increase in profits

The consolidated net profit of the bank increased by 72 percent to Rs 1,037.05 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 604.07 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The bank had earlier earned a net profit of Rs 594.17 crore in the January-March quarter. The bank’s net interest income increased by one per cent to Rs 4,685 crore in the April-June quarter, while loans declined by two per cent and net interest margin declined to 3.35 per cent.

This is how profits increased

During the period under review, other income of the bank declined by 17 percent to Rs 1,787 crore. Provisions and contingencies declined by 21 percent to Rs 1,384 crore during the quarter, which helped profits. In the last quarter, the gross non-performing assets (NPA) ratio came down to 3.25 percent. New bad loans also declined to Rs 1,660 crore, which was Rs 2,567 crore a year ago.

MD’s statement came out

IndusInd Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rajeev Anand said that the strategic steps taken in the last one year have improved the balance sheet, sources of income and operational structure. In this way the bank has entered the financial year 2026-27 with better business momentum. He said that the priority will be to accelerate profits, strengthen the deposit base, expand transaction banking and improve customer experience, productivity and risk management through investment in digital and artificial intelligence (AI).
