Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Indonesia has proved to be a major success for India on every front, from diplomacy to business. More than eight important agreements including defence, technology and education were signed in his bilateral talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday. The biggest highlight of this visit was that now our own ‘UPI’ will work in Indonesia also, and indigenous BrahMos missiles will become an important part of the security of South East Asia. Not only this, Indonesia has also honored PM Modi with its highest honor ‘Bintang Adipurna’.

India’s strength in sea increased, BrahMos deal confirmed

India’s strategic position has now increased manifold in South East Asia. The BrahMos missile agreement which was under negotiation for a long time has finally been finalized. Under this new defense agreement, ‘Bharat Dynamics’ will supply BrahMos as well as ‘Astra’ air-to-air missile system to the Indonesian Army. The move is the latest link in a network of coastal missile deployments that New Delhi is steadily strengthening across Southeast Asia. Both the countries have also prepared a solid framework regarding maritime security.

UPI’s sting even in foreign countries, business will be easy

This tour is very special from the economic point of view. Indian UPI is being linked with Indonesia’s payment system. Its direct benefit will be to those Indians who go to Indonesia for tourism or business. Now they will not have any problem in money transactions there, which will also promote ‘Ease of Doing Business’. Apart from this, a major decision has also been taken on strengthening the steel supply chain including critical minerals. PM Modi clearly said that in today’s era, it is very important for the supply chain to be strong for technology.

Exports ranging from cheap medicines to mid-day meals

India is now sharing the model of its successful social schemes with the world. In order to eradicate poverty, India will teach Indonesia the method of ‘Public Distribution System’ (PDS) including its ‘Mid-Day Meal’ scheme. There is going to be a big relief in the health sector also. With the agreement between the two countries, cheap and high quality Indian medical products will easily reach Indonesia. Now India will also make an important contribution in the training of doctors and healthcare workers of Indonesia. Along with this, important MoUs have also been signed between disaster management, agriculture, telecommunication and election commissions of the two countries.

Prambanan temple will be renovated

This partnership is achieving a new milestone on the cultural front.
