
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is on a visit to India. Rubio spoke to the media after an hour-long meeting with PM Modi in Delhi on Saturday. During this, he said that the connection between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump is very special and it is long term. Also India is very important for us. He said that the connection between these two leaders is incredibly important. Both are very serious leaders who are focused not only on the short term but also on the long term.

We have further strengthened the security partnership through military exercises in the Indo-Pacific. This partnership will remain strong for a long time. This will greatly benefit both countries. My first official meeting as Foreign Minister was the Quad meeting. We wanted to do it here, not only because of our commitment to that framework of work, but also as a concrete signal of how important a role India plays in the United States and in our stance and approach toward the Indo-Pacific.
India-US relations in strong position
Earlier, Ambassador of India-US Embassy in New Delhi, Sergio Gore said that both strong India and strong America are necessary for global stability. He said that after the recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India-US relations are in a strong position and there are immense possibilities ahead between the two countries. Along with this, he described trust and security as the strongest foundation of this partnership.
Bilateral trade target of 500 billion dollars
The US Ambassador said that the investment of $20.5 billion by Indian companies in the US economy reflects the growing trust and economic cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that India and America are rapidly moving towards the bilateral trade target of 500 billion dollars in the coming years.
