July 19, 2026 by Uma Shankar

IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: The third and last match of the three-match ODI series between India and England is being played at the Mecca of cricket i.e. the historic Lord’s ground. In this great match, while the Indian team has entered the field with the intention of winning the series, the visiting team has suffered a big setback just before the start of the game. In this most important match at Lord’s, Team India had to take the field without one of its biggest star players. India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is not part of the playing eleven of this match.

Jasprit Bumrah out of Lord’s ODI

Team India captain Shubman Gill gave an update on Jasprit Bumrah not playing at the time of the toss. Gill told that Jasprit Bumrah had injured his left knee while fielding in the second ODI match in Cardiff. Due to swelling in his left knee, he was not available for selection for the third ODI. That is, due to not achieving match fitness, the management has decided not to play him in this match.

Changes had to be made in the playing eleven

Due to Jasprit Bumrah’s exit at the last moment, the captain was forced to make major changes in the Indian playing eleven. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar is also not a part of this match due to injury. At the same time, Shivam Dubey has also not been selected in the playing 11. In their place, KL Rahul, Prince Yadav and Arshdeep Singh have got a chance to play.
