IND vs ENG: Highest score made at Lord’s, Team India beaten again after 51 years, England hit 48 boundaries

The Indian team, which entered the Lord’s Cricket Ground with the intention of creating history, actually created history. The only difference was that whatever happened, happened against his expectations and plans. In the third and deciding match of the ODI series against England, the Indian bowlers were so thrashed that a new record for the highest score on this ground was created. On the basis of Ben Duckett’s century and explosive innings of other batsmen, England scored 387 runs losing 3 wickets.

The Indian team, which started this series with a win, had to face defeat in the second match. In such a situation, the series was to be decided in the last match at Lord’s on Sunday 19th July. Irrespective of the results, in the last two matches, Team India’s bowling was strong. But this did not happen at Lord’s and every bowler was beaten severely. Although in this match Team India star bowler Jasprit Bumrah Played without K.K., who could not play due to injury.

England plundered records

  1. The effect of Bumrah’s absence was also visible in this match and the English batsmen got beaten badly. The beginning was made by the opening pair of Ben Duckett and Jacob Batchelor, who together made a partnership of 192 runs in 30.1 overs for the first wicket. This is a new record for the biggest opening partnership in ODI at Lord’s.
  2. This partnership of 192 runs between Bethel and Duckett is the biggest partnership for any wicket in ODI by England against India.
  3. Bethel was out for 91 runs but Ben Duckett scored a brilliant century and played an inning of 141 runs. This is the highest score by any batsman in ODI at Lord’s.
  4. England scored 387 runs losing 3 wickets in 50 overs, which is the highest score in ODI at Lord’s. Earlier this record was also in the name of England, which had scored 334 runs against India 51 years ago in 1975.
  5. England’s batsmen hit a total of 48 boundaries in this match, which included 42 fours and 6 sixes.
  6. Joe Root scored a half-century in this innings too and returned unbeaten after scoring 74 runs. In this way, he scored 249 runs in the entire series and was not out even once. This is a new record for the most runs scored without getting out in an ODI series.
