Abhishek Sharma completed his 100 sixes in T20 International in the first match of the series against England in Chester-le-Street. Abhishek achieved this milestone by hitting a six on Saqib Mahmood in the fourth over. Abhishek, who had reached 98 sixes before this match, hit his 99th six in the third over and then completed his century in the fourth over. With this, he made the record of hitting the fastest 100 sixes (in terms of balls). Abhishek, playing the 49th T20 International of his career, hit 100 sixes in just 785 balls and broke the record of fastest 100 sixes among ICC full member countries. Before him, this record was in the name of West Indies' Evin Lewis (789) but Abhishek broke the record by a margin of 4 balls. Abhishek has now become the fifth Indian batsman to hit 100 sixes in this format. Rohit Sharma (205) was the first to do this, after which Virat Kohli (124), Suryakumar Yadav (179) and Hardik Pandya (126) touched this figure.
