
India vs Afghanistan, Prasidh Krishna: In the third and last ODI against Afghanistan, Prasidh Krishna’s flag was seen waving from the first ball itself. The result was that the top order of Afghanistan said surrender in front of him. However, Rohit Sharma also played a big role in the success of Prasidh. Prasidh Krishna took 4 wickets for Afghanistan in the power play in Chennai ODI, out of which he got 3 wickets due to Rohit Sharma taking the catch.
Prasidh gave the second best performance in the powerplay.
Prasidh Krishna bowled 5 overs in the powerplay against Afghanistan, in which he took 4 wickets for just 6 runs. For the first time in ODI, Prasidh Krishna was seen taking 4 wickets in the powerplay. This is the second best performance by an Indian bowler in the powerplay. In this matter, Mohammad Siraj is at number one, who had taken 5 wickets for just 7 runs.
Things got better with Rohit
The famous Krishna bowled with the new ball in Chennai Forest. This was the first time after 2023 that he was bowling with the new ball. Despite this, he created a stir in the match with his very first ball. He broke Afghanistan’s opening pair by taking the wicket of Gurbaz on the very first ball of his first over. Gurbaz was caught by Rohit Sharma on the ball of Prasidh Krishna.
After this, Prasidh Krishna dismissed Rahmat Shah and Ibrahim Zadran. The catches of both of them were also taken by Rohit Sharma on the ball of Prasidh Krishna. That means Rohit Sharma was involved in the first 3 wickets of Prasidh. He got Rohit’s support and things seemed to be working out.
Prasidh Krishna has dismissed Darvish Rasooli for his fourth wicket in the powerplay. Rasooli was caught out by Prasidh by Shreyas Iyer.
