IND vs AFG 1st ODI: After the test between the teams of India and Afghanistan, now the ODI series is going to start. The first ODI match of the series between the two teams is to be played on June 13 at the beautiful Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala. But clouds of crisis are looming over this match. Even before the start of this match, the weather in Dharamshala has left the organizers and fans breathless.

Big crisis looms on first ODI

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for Dharamshala and its surrounding areas on the match day i.e. June 13, due to which there is a big threat of rain looming over this high-profile match. The weather changes very rapidly in Dharamshala Stadium situated amidst the hills. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in the area on June 13.

This match will start at 1:30 pm Indian time. But according to the report of Accuweather, 90 percent rain is expected during the day. In such a situation, rain disruption during the match is considered certain. In such a situation, fans may see a delay in the toss and overs may also be cut.

Why is India-Afghanistan ODI series special?

This will be the first ODI series between these two teams, before this both these teams had faced each other in ODI format only in ICC events and Asia Cup. This will be a big opportunity for Afghanistan cricket, because it will get to play against the top team of the world. With this series, Team India will also start preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The remaining two matches of this series will be played on June 17 and 20.

Whereas, if we talk about head to head record, 4 ODI matches have been played between the two teams so far. During this period, Team India has won 3 matches. At the same time, one match has ended in a tie. That means Afghanistan has not yet defeated India even a single match in the ODI format.
