India A vs Afghanistan A: India A and Afghanistan A teams faced each other on June 17 in the tri-series being played in Sri Lanka. In this match, India A batted first, due to which a major change was seen in the opening order. This time Prabhasimran Singh did not come with Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was seen opening the previous matches. Instead, Priyansh Arya came in his place. Left-handed Priyansh had played on first down in earlier matches. But when he came out to open against Afghanistan A in the match of 17th June, he showed his talent. He got the form as soon as he found his place.
Priyansh Arya made a stormy partnership with Vaibhav
Priyansh Arya, who came to open against Afghanistan A, first started talking to his opening partner. Vaibhav Suryavanshi Collaborated with and formed a dynamic partnership. Priyansh and Vaibhav together made a tremendous partnership of 75 runs in 8 overs for the opening wicket. This partnership broke due to the dismissal of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. But, even after Vaibhav was out, it had no effect on Priyansh’s batting temperament. In fact, for the first time he scored a half-century in the tri-series being played on the Sri Lanka tour.
Priyansh scored 58 runs in 42 balls against AFG A.
Priyansh Arya scored the highest runs for India with a strike rate of 138.09. Playing at this strike rate, he scored 58 runs in just 42 balls, which included 9 fours and 1 six. A total of 3 sixes were hit in India A’s innings, out of which Priyansh hit one and Vaibhav hit two sixes.
Priyansh had first downs in previous matches and failed.
Playing in the opening order for the first time in the Tri Series, Priyansh Arya was not in this condition before when he was playing on first down. In the last two matches played on that order, he had scored a total of 40 runs. He scored 32 runs in the match against Sri Lanka A on 9th June, while after that he scored 8 runs in the match against Afghanistan A on 11th June.
