
The 57th DG level Border Coordination Conference will be held in New Delhi from 8 to 11 June 2026 to discuss border issues between India and Bangladesh. This conference will be hosted by the Border Security Force (BSF). The Indian delegation at the meeting will be led by BSF Director General Praveen Kumar, while the Bangladeshi delegation will be led by Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui. In this conference which will last for four days, many important issues related to security and coordination on the India-Bangladesh border will be discussed.
The border security forces of both the countries will discuss measures to prevent cross-border crimes, infiltration of Bangladeshi criminals into India, incidents of border breaking, border fence construction, border infrastructure development and enhancing mutual trust.

Which agenda is involved?
Apart from this, issues like stopping the incidents of attacks by Bangladeshi citizens on BSF soldiers and Indian citizens and taking action against Indian militant groups operating in Bangladesh are also included in the agenda of the meeting.
According to BSF, this conference is being organized with the aim of better coordination between the two countries and strengthening border management. It is noteworthy that the last BSF-BGB DG level conference was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh between 25 to 28 August 2025.
This DG level border coordination meeting between India and Bangladesh is being organized since 1975. After the agreement between the Home Secretaries of the two countries in the year 1993, it was decided to organize it twice a year. Under this, meetings are held one by one in India and Bangladesh.
