Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has reconstituted the ‘State Level Program Implementation Committee’. The members included in this committee have been given the status of Minister of State and Deputy Minister. According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, the chairman of the committee is Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, while Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been made the acting chairman. Bahubali Anant Singh’s wife Neelam Devi has also been kept in the committee.
In the reconstituted committee, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Sanjay Saraogi and Janata Dal United (JDU) state president and MLA Umesh Kushwaha have been made vice-presidents. The special thing is that the name of JDU MLA from Nabinagar Chetan Anand has also been included in the reconstituted committee. There was a lot of heat in the politics of Bihar in recent times due to the statement of Chetan Anand’s father Anand Mohan. Now an attempt has been made to handle the situation by keeping his son in the committee.
All members got the status of Deputy Minister
According to the released notification, other members of the committee include the names of Lalan Kumar Mandal, Chetan Anand, Bharat Bind, Sangeeta Kumari, Siddharth Saurav, Murari Prasad Gautam, Prahlad Yadav, Neelam Devi, Jagannath Thakur, Bharti Mehta, Rajesh Kumar Verma and Chandan Kumar Singh.
It has been made clear in the notification that both the vice-chairmen of the committee have been given the status of Ministers of State and all the members have been given the status of Deputy Ministers of State. The members of Bihar Legislature included in the committee will continue to get the salary, allowances and facilities received as members of the House as before. Also, the facilities provided by this new status will be different and will be received from the government. It has also been clarified that other persons will be nominated later.
Leaders supporting Nitish also included
Those MLAs have also been nominated in this committee, who had supported the NDA government in the floor test last time during the formation of the NDA government after Nitish Kumar’s separation from the Grand Alliance. Then during the floor test, Sangeeta Kumari, Chetan Anand, Prahlad Yadav and Murari Prasad Gautam supported the government. Now the names of all these have been included in the state level program implementation committee.
