During the trailer launch, when Sunny Deol was asked a question about the character related to ‘Damini’, Sunny Deol revealed an years old secret and said, “When Damini was being made, it was being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and we had the entire team, our friends who were producing the film. I just wanted to be a part of that film in any way. To be honest, there was no role for me in the script. According to the makers, he was just a small character.”

Sunny further said, “Santoshi ji asked me if you would do this small role? I immediately said yes without thinking because I wanted to be a part of the film. But I swear, I had no idea that that small character would create history like this and would sit in people’s hearts forever.”
