Saifullah Kasuri, deputy chief of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, has openly threatened the government and army of Pakistan. After which there has been a stir in Pakistan. Kasuri warned Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir and PM Shehbaz Sharif that if any leader of Pakistan tries to support Israel, he will be killed, destroyed and ruined.
This statement has come at a time when internal discussions and speculations are going on in Pakistan regarding relations with Israel. Saifullah Kasuri’s threat clearly indicates that the influence of fundamentalist and jihadi terrorist organizations is still very strong in Pakistan. However, Pakistan has rejected this demand of US President Trump and said that it will not normalize relations with Israel.
Terrorist organizations become headache for Pakistan government
After this threat, it is clear that the same terrorist organizations which were once created by the government and intelligence agencies of Pakistan are now openly threatening the political and military leadership of Pakistan. This is a sign of serious danger to Pakistan’s internal security and political system, because after the Pahalgam attack, Pakistani terrorist organizations have started considering themselves above the government and the army.
What did Trump say on Pakistan’s relations with Israel?
Trump had recently demanded Pakistan to normalize relations with Israel and sign the Abraham Accords. Trump wrote a long post on Truth Social, in which he linked any peace deal with Iran to the extension of the Abraham Accords. He asked Muslim-majority countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan etc. to formally recognize Israel and join the Abraham Accords. However Pakistan has rejected this.
