Iran’s second Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s son Mujtaba Khamenei will not participate in the process of his death. The third Supreme Leader of Iran has taken this decision in view of the security threat. After this two questions arise. First, if Mujtaba is not present at the last farewell, then who will put the first 3 handfuls of soil in the grave during burial? The second one is regarding the successor of Khamenei’s dead body.
during the iran war Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Was assassinated by Israel and America together on 28th February. Since then his body was kept safe. Now after the agreement with America, Iran has decided to bury him with dignity.
Who will inherit the deceased body?
Imam Foundation Has written a book based on the fatwa of Shia cleric Ali Sistani, named Islamic Law of Death and Burial. According to this, after someone’s death, arrangements are immediately made for the heir of that body. If a married woman dies, her husband is considered her heir. On the death of a man, his son is considered his successor. The entire arrangement for the funeral is his responsibility.
If there is no family member in a case, then his close relative is considered the heir of the deceased body. If for some reason there is no close relative, then the nearby Imam is considered his successor.
What is the complete process of funeral?
First of all, the process of bathing the dead body will be done. Necessary precautions have to be taken during this period. For example, the dead body cannot be bathed with hot water. After bathing, camphor paste is applied on the entire body. The believers present there decide how much paste to apply and how much not. The body is again wrapped in a shroud.
After this the process of funeral prayers is started. Imam teaches namaz. After this, the body is laid in the grave facing the Kaaba. Then first the son or close relative adds 3 handfuls of soil. If no one is present then the Imam and the believers pour the soil.
What will happen in Khamenei’s case?
Iran has not made it clear who is the successor to Ali Khamenei’s body. However, Khamenei’s body was kept in some safe place for the last 4 months. In such a situation, it is certain that the successor of his deceased body must have already been chosen. Not only this, apart from Mujtaba, Ali Khamenei also has three more sons.
Ali Khamenei’s elder son Mustafa is also still alive. Mustafa is also an Imam. He is likely to be present during the burial process.
