Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has made a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He claimed that if BJP wins in UP in the upcoming assembly elections, there will be no elections in future. He said that I am not intimidating, I have said this many times before. Bengal elections are an example of this. How did BJP register victory there?
Talking to journalists in Azamgarh, Akhilesh Yadav said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have made up their mind to bring change in power. BJP will have to give account of its long tenure and the public will soon evaluate the functioning of the government on issues like employment, reservation and development. Akhilesh Yadav said that the people of Uttar Pradesh are ready to remove BJP from power.
He said that the party will now have to answer for its tenure in the same state from where it started its political journey. He said that Samajwadi Party is going among the people with the agenda of ‘PDA government’ and social justice and is committed to take the state towards prosperity.
Government cornered over theft of offerings in Ram temple
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions about the alleged embezzlement of offerings in Ram temple. He said that Ayodhya is the center of faith of crores of people and due to the information revealed in this case, the government had to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT). He questioned to whom the SIT report was submitted and what action was taken after that. According to him, this incident is extremely condemnable and has caused outrage in the entire country.
Dimple Yadav raised questions on SIT investigation
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP from Mainpuri Dimple Yadav also raised questions on the SIT investigation in the Ram Temple offering theft case. Expressing disbelief on the SIT, he said that the alleged embezzlement of donations is not a recent incident, but it was going on for many years. Dimple Yadav alleged that after the consecration ceremony, a large number of devotees had donated to the temple and huge financial irregularities were taking place for many years.
It is difficult to estimate the amount of embezzlement
He said that it is also difficult to estimate the actual amount of alleged embezzlement. Dimple Yadav said that given the earlier allegations of irregularities in land deals, this entire matter requires a more comprehensive and independent investigation than the one done by the SIT.
