In Kerala, Congress MLA Sandeep Warrier received death threats over phone. An unknown person threatened to shoot him over the phone. MLA Sandeep informed the police about this. At present, the police has started investigating the matter. Chandera police has registered a case regarding threat. Initial investigation has revealed that the person giving the threat may be a resident of Kerala.
According to the police, this threatening call to Sandeep Warrier was made from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. At present, call details have been collected and every part of it is being investigated. The police is trying to find out the identity of the person making the call so that what was the motive behind his call, whether it was just an attempt to scare him or an attempt could actually be made to kill him. Cyber police is also helping in this matter.
Who is Congress MLA Sandeep Warrier?
Sandeep Warrier is a leader of the Indian National Congress Party and one of the General Secretaries of KPCC. He is currently the MLA of Trikaripur constituency of Kasaragod district in the 16th Legislative Assembly. Sandeep Warrier started his political career in 2000 with Students Federation of India (SFI). L.K. Impressed by Advani’s development promises, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a youth leader. Here he worked as a state spokesperson.
Along with this, he was a prominent face in television debates. At the end of 2024, Warrier resigned from BJP citing ideological differences as the reason. Joined the Indian National Congress (INC). Soon after, he was made the spokesperson of KPCC and is currently working as one of the general secretaries of KPCC. He became a prominent and popular leader within the INC.
