Bollywood Celebs On Sonam Wangchuk: Environmentalist and activist Sonam Wangchuk has been sitting on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for the last 17 days. Now his health is deteriorating. In these days, Sonam’s weight has also reduced by about 8.5 kg. Along with common people, many celebrities are also expressing concern about Sonam Wangchuk’s deteriorating health. Zeenat Aman has also shared a post on Instagram regarding this matter and said that the government should talk to Sonam Wangchuk. Actor Abhay Deol and ‘3 Idiots’ actor Omi Vaidya have also reacted on Sonam’s health.
Zeenat Aman shared a picture of Sonam Wangchuk on Instagram and wrote, “Today I am thinking about the country’s capital, where Sonam Wangchuk has entered the 17th day of her indefinite hunger strike. I read in a news that Mr. Wangchuk ‘has started losing muscle mass and is in a lot of pain.’ And when he was asked about ending the hunger strike, he said, ‘Don’t ask me to end the hunger strike. “Government should talk to Sonam Wangchuk”
Zeenat Aman Praised Sonam Wangchuk’s social work. She also wrote, “Respecting the demands of Mr. Wangchuk, I request the Government of India to initiate dialogue on this matter, as it is related to the future of the whole of India. We should not become a society that sits silently and watches a person with a brilliant mind being sacrificed. India has a long history of peaceful protest. Those in power should face such protest through peaceful dialogue.”
What did Abhay Deol and Omi Vaidya say?
In view of Sonam Wangchuk’s deteriorating health Omi Vaidya Has shared a video on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, “Do you know that the real Phunsuk Wangdu may have died?” In the video he said that Sonam Wangchuk is currently on hunger strike and her blood pressure has gone down considerably. He has also mentioned Sonam’s demands and said that I want her to stay alive. He has appealed to the people to take time out and see what is happening.

Why are demonstrations and hunger strikes taking place?
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has been protesting at Jantar Mantar for several days in the NEET paper leak case. Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk had also reached there on June 28 and since then he has been sitting on hunger strike there. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and reforms in the education system.
