He has an old relationship with Nandigram. Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee had lost from Nandigram in the 2019 elections. He also won from Nandigram in the 2026 elections. This time after winning in Bhawanipur, he left Nandigram seat, but Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari reached Nandigram on Sunday to thank the common people and his clear message from the thanksgiving meeting was that he will remain the son of Nandigram. Also, he warned Trinamool that they have not forgotten anything. Everything will be accounted for.
Giving the message of standing with the people of Nandigram Shubhendu Adhikari Said, “You can be sure that whatever dream you have seen about me or about us, I, Subhendu Adhikari, will repay your debt this time. Trust me. Trust that you will get the services you get from my office. You will see me the same way you have seen me before. You will not see any change in me, I want to assure you this.”
After this he said, “Especially on difficult days – be it storm, rain, intense cold, dense fog, I will stand with you. Bhangwera on the morning of 7th January, Gokulnagar Adhikari Palli and Sonachura on the morning of 14th March, Gokulnagar Kar Palli on 10th November – If I do not face any particular difficulty, I will reach you like before, you can be sure.”
CM Shubhendu targeted Mamata
He said that all kinds of steps will be taken for the development of Nandigram. Taking aim at Mamata, Subhendu Adhikari said, “She had come to defeat me. You went back to the pavilion after losing. This time the party asked me, will you go to her neighborhood and stand? I said, yes. I fought there. I lost by 15,105 votes.”

Shubhendu promised development
Attacking the 34-year-old Left government and the 15-year-old Trinamool government, Subhendu Adhikari said, “This state has to be rebuilt with the help of PM Modi, with his blessings, with his cooperation. People are dreaming a lot. We have started the work. Only two weeks have passed. You will see a lot more. BJP’s words and deeds are the same. We do what we say, we say what we say and we do what we say.” The state has to be brought out of this bad situation.”
He further said, educated youth need employment. The people of the state want industry, farmers want crop prices, women want security. They want government schools and colleges to become modern. People should get the facilities of government hospitals. They want clean drinking water, electricity, good roads, better bridges. People want you to give a new shape to this state in the era of speed. People want democracy to come. People want the police to work on Satyamev Jayate. Police should not be party cadre. People want Indians to stay in Bengal, non-Indians should leave Bengal. We will do this work.
Shubhendu targeted Trinamool
Shubhendu spoke against the arrest of BJP workers and their involvement in various cases during the Trinamool era. He said, “There will be a reckoning. Don’t take the law into your hands. The goons are still at home. If you want, you can take out the bricks. No, don’t do that, BJP doesn’t do that. Their real place will be jail. I won’t leave even one. I won’t forget. You be carefree, have faith. Everyone will be accounted for, friend! Everyone will be accounted for! Just keep watching.”
