Aam Aadmi Party has registered a spectacular victory in the Punjab Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections. After the party’s big victory, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a press conference. He said that Aam Aadmi Party has won 90 percent seats in these elections. The public has once again proved that they are completely satisfied with the development work of the Aam Aadmi Party. Along with this, he also targeted the opposition parties.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, I had already said that I will talk to you after 5 pm on the day of results. I congratulate all those who rejected the politics of hatred, supported the politics of development and did not vote for those parties which contest elections in the name of religion or caste. This time the elections were conducted with complete peace and harmony.
CM Mann’s taunt on Congress
He said, no such major incident has come to light from anywhere in which workers have been hurt. The securities of the opponents were confiscated. Agents of all parties are present at the counting centres. Now he cannot even accuse Aam Aadmi Party of rigging. He said that the old slogan of Congress is that where they win, voting was done properly, but where they lose, the party alleges rigging.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Punjab cannot be suppressed. If you threaten them, they will not show anything to anyone but will definitely answer in the elections. If you work with love, you can achieve something from them. If threatened, they will hit back with double the force. The people of Punjab have answered which party in the state can protect their interests.
Attack on Punjab Congress President
CM Mann said that he thanks the people of the state for rejecting the politics of hatred. People have protected democracy by voting in large numbers despite the scorching heat. Taking aim at the Punjab Congress President, he said that those who cast their votes riding on bullock carts must have realized that the public is well aware of such tactics and will not fall into their trap.
He took a dig at BJP by calling it an ED party. He said that it was good that Sunil Jakhar left the post of BJP President before the results came out. Otherwise the entire blame for the defeat would have fallen on him. Now the new president Kewal Dhillon will have to deal with this.
