Bobby Deol said, “That thing is over now. We are friends. I was heartbroken because I needed a film like this at that stage of my career. I had a lot of faith in Imtiaz since the time he was making Socha Na with Abhay. When I saw the rough cut of the film, I was very impressed with his work. I thought he is such a good director, I should work with him.”

He recalled, “That’s when we decided for the first time that we will make a film together. But when your value is not good in the market, no one supports you. A lot of time was spent in trying to get the film started. The production house to which I had offered this film, said that Imtiaz is a very expensive director. But the same production house later made the film with Imtiaz and with the same heroine whom I had chosen for the film. Had agreed.”
Currently, Bobby Deol has Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bandar’, which is scheduled to release on June 5, 2026. Apart from this, Bobby Deol will also be seen in ‘Ramayana’, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and Jan Nayakan.
