Bharatvarsh’s Topper program was organized on Tuesday by TV9 Bharatvarsh to discuss the education system and the future of students. In which many leaders as well as stalwarts of the education world and students participated. Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood also participated in the program. During this he talked on many issues.
In the program, the minister raised questions on the Delhi Model of Education of the previous Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi. He said that more than 100 government schools in the capital were running without computer labs. He said that there were 600 smart classrooms that were broken. He said that under the model of the current government, more than 8 thousand smart classrooms have been completed in the last one year. More than 10 thousand computers have been purchased and given to the children for their education. He said that Delhi Model does not work by telling in social media and newspapers.
‘The previous government used to show only two schools’
He said that the previous government used to show only two schools. He said that in the previous government, science was not taught in government schools. He said that the present government will build 9 thousand smart classrooms in this financial year. Digital libraries will be built in 100 schools. He said that by March 31, 2029, 38 thousand classrooms will be provided in all the schools of Delhi so that poor children can also get good education.
Questions raised on not having DSSSB
On the question of teachers, the minister further said that DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board) examination has not been conducted in Delhi for the last many years. He said that when his government investigated it, it was found that DSSSB did not have centers to conduct safe examinations. He said that the BJP government has hired a center in Noida and a center will also be prepared in Delhi. To avoid their responsibilities, the previous governments recruited guest teachers and exploited them. Neither their salary increased nor did the previous governments think about their safe life.
‘Modi’s government gave equal opportunity to everyone’
Minister Ashish Sood also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government improved education. He said that earlier admissions used to be done through capitation fees, but Modi’s government gave equal opportunity to everyone. He said that the son of an astronaut, a pilot’s son, a railway engineer’s son or a DTC bus driver’s son all got equal opportunity to appear in the competitive exam. He said that such private colleges were banned under Modi government. He said that any person who has tampered with the examinations will not be spared. Such people will be marked. If there is any mistake then it will be corrected through the process.
‘The youth of the country trust the PM’
He said that the PM has clearly said that those who commit exam scams will not be spared at any cost. Referring to the NEET UG paper leak, he said that 13 people are already in jail and the rest are being identified. He said that the youth of the country trust the PM. He said that in an examination like NEET, everyone is given equal opportunity. He said that if there has been any irregularity, action is being taken on it. On the question asked about the toppers emerging from private institutions instead of government ones, the minister said that 12 children studying in Delhi government schools have passed the NEET exam with good marks. He said that we want to create such government schools in which children of all people can study.
‘I am the guardian of 36 lakh children of Delhi’
The minister said that politics of tug of war was being carried out in Delhi for 27 years. He said that 18 lakh children studying in government schools of Delhi and 18 lakh children studying in private schools are his responsibility. He said that he has the responsibility as a guardian for 36 lakh children. He said that hence gradually opportunities will be given to him again. Will provide the environment again, so that they can get education in government schools again. He said that those who want to work in private schools in Delhi. He will have to accept the rules and regulations of the Delhi Government and the public interest. Still, if the school has something to say, they will be able to say it. He said that gradually everything is being fixed. He said that private schools will have to obey the government. He said that if there is any problem then the path of communication remains open.
