Activist Sonam Wangchuk wrote a letter to the Safdarjung Hospital officials on Monday, July 20. He said that his health is absolutely fine. He has sought permission to go out of the hospital for some time, so that he can join the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) to the Parliament. Wangchuk wrote, “I want to tell that today I am feeling very good and my health parameters are also absolutely normal.
He said that therefore, I request you to allow me to leave the hospital, even if for some time, so that I can join the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march to Parliament this morning. He further said, “I will be very grateful to you.”
his health is fine
While sharing the letter on social media, he asked that if the police say that the activist has not been detained, then why has his movement been banned? A message on her social media handle read, “Sonam Wangchuk is trying very hard to meet you all. Just gave a letter to the hospital because her health is fine and they claim that she is not in custody. So why stop?”
Wangchuk is under the supervision of doctors
The letter came shortly after Safdarjung Hospital officials said in a medical update that Wangchuk’s vital medical parameters were stable, while his blood parameters required close clinical monitoring. The latest health bulletin said, “Sonam Wangchuk is receiving complete medical care at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital. Her vital medical parameters are stable. Close clinical monitoring of blood parameters continues to be required. Wangchuk is under constant medical supervision and close monitoring of a multi-disciplinary team of experts.”
This letter has also come amid the ongoing deadlock over Wangchuk’s stay in the government hospital. His wife, Geetanjali J Angmo, has alleged that even family members are not being allowed to meet the activist. He claims that he has actually been kept under restrictions like police custody.
