
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and several top leaders, are sitting on a dharna outside the Prime Minister’s Lok Kalyan Marg house on Tuesday. About 20 minutes later, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh met Gandhi at the protest site and appealed to him to end the protest. Rahul Gandhi demanded from the government that the paper leak issue should be discussed in the House and the Union Home Minister should give clarification in the House.

He said that I appeal to every patriotic Indian who believes that our students should get justice – join our dharna in front of the Prime Minister’s residence. The voice of India’s students cannot be ignored.

Demanded resignation of PM and Home Minister
We have marched to PM Modi’s house to demand answers from him for the brutalities against young students yesterday.

He said that the students of the country are saying – we have no future. And the ministers of this government are saying – our chair will not go away. There is no justice in a country where students lose their future and ministers do not lose their chair.
Rahul and Priyanka met the injured
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to meet students and protesters injured in police action during the demonstration over the alleged exam paper leak issue.
Congress has intensified its campaign against the Centre, accusing the government of failing to protect the integrity of public exams and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party has also demanded discussion on this issue in Parliament and accountability for police action against student protestors.
