Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge strongly criticized RSS on Monday. This criticism was made after the statement of RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, in which he had mentioned the misappropriation of money deposited for Ayodhya Ram temple. Priyank Kharge raised questions on RSS and said that how did RSS get the moral right to punish those who misappropriate funds? He said why did the RSS leadership delay so much in this matter?
Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi, Minister Priyank Kharge questioned the RSS leadership’s delayed response to these allegations. He indicated that there may be deep insider collusion within the organizations collecting funds. Kharge said, “Who are they to demand punishment? Why did they wait so long? Their own people have done this. I am sure some funds must have gone to them too.”
What did MP Mallu Ravi say?
Congress MP Mallu Ravi has said that now “Congress Swayamsevak Sangh” (CSS) should be activated and strengthened. He alleged that because of RSS, people are being divided in the country in the name of religion and caste. He said that RSS works to help BJP win the elections. But Congress’s own volunteer organization (CSS) is 150 years old. It has made a big contribution in the freedom struggle. It was not made for political power, but for the service of the country. Mallu Ravi said that in today’s time the need for CSS is more than before.
The Trust should take serious steps regarding this highly condemnable incident.
Dattatreya Hosabale had said, “It is necessary to ensure that whoever is found guilty in the investigation, gets severe punishment.” He also asked Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to consider this incident as an extraordinary case and remove the shortcomings in financial management and administrative arrangements. He said, “The entire Hindu society, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, naturally expects that the Trust will consider this highly condemnable incident as an extraordinary case and take effective and serious steps to correct all the shortcomings in its management and functioning. This is necessary so that the faith and devotion of millions of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple remains unbroken and unshakable.”
Expressing confidence in the Trust, Hosabale said that it will continue to strengthen the faith of the devotees through transparent financial management, smooth functioning and systems based on sanctity and accountability.
