
The issue of theft of offerings in Ram temple is a hot topic across the country. Meanwhile, Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri said that the present time is of great caution, especially Hindus need to be very careful. He said that under any circumstances we have to have full faith in the country’s investigating agencies, law and government.
Dhirendra Shastri said that action will definitely be taken against everyone, those who are guilty will be punished. On Champat Rai, he said that this is a matter of investigation, nothing happens by our thinking, action will be taken on whatever comes out in the investigation.
Ram Mandir Trust meeting tomorrow
Let us tell you that the members of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hold a meeting tomorrow (Monday) at Mani Ramdas Cantonment to discuss the preliminary report of the SIT formed to investigate the Ram Temple offering theft case and the resignations of the trustees. According to the agenda, the meeting is scheduled at 3 pm. Sources said that there may also be a discussion on the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to manage the functioning of the Ram Temple.
Discussion on resignation of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra
On Saturday, officials confirmed the five-point agenda of the meeting, in which the first issue is to discuss the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra. These two and special invitee member Gopal Rao have been at the center of controversies ever since the case of theft of offerings came to light.
Statements of three senior officers of the trust recorded
This meeting is going to take place amidst two parallel investigations into the allegations. One of these investigations is being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), whose tenure has been extended till the end of July, while the other investigation is being conducted by the police. The SIT and the police have recorded the statements of all three senior officers of the trust. However, no FIR has been registered against the three officials so far.

Earlier, the lawyers of Faizabad Bar Association had given a written complaint to the police demanding registration of a case against Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao. Other points on the agenda include discussion and approval of unaudited income-expenditure statement and balance sheet for the financial year 2025-26 and other financial statements.
Meeting agenda released
The agenda of the meeting has been released by Treasurer Govind Dev Giri. Trust chief Mahant Nritya Gopal Das had attended the previous meetings through digital medium due to age-related problems. He is currently unwell and is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Lucknow. The hospital had said in the medical bulletin issued on Friday that Das is expected to be discharged in two-three days. Mani Ramdas Cantonment is the ashram of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
Eight people arrested so far
Eight people named in the FIR registered on the basis of the preliminary report of the SIT have been arrested so far. Although initially all of them were sent to judicial custody for 14 days till July 23, but later the police sought police custody of one of the main accused, Avinash Shukla, and it also got approval. According to police sources, some important evidence related to the theft of offerings has been recovered from the house of Avinash Shukla in Ayodhya.
