
US heatwave: After Europe, the threat of dangerous heatwave is also looming in America. This week people may have to face extreme heat here. This summer is going to spoil the color of America’s biggest celebration. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning regarding this. NWS has said that there will be a very strong heat wave in large parts of America. There is also a possibility of heat wave.
About 12 crore people will be affected by this. NWS said that there will be extreme heat during the day, there will be high humidity in the air and even at night it will be so hot that breathing will become difficult. Actually, all this is happening right in time for the 4th of July holiday. Independence Day is celebrated on 4th July in America. This day is a national holiday in America. Americans celebrate this day as independence from Britain in 1776.
37 degree temperature in Ontario!
Extreme heat has started in most parts of Canada since Tuesday. The temperature in Ontario can reach 37 degrees Celsius. This intense heat is going to occur in a large area in America from the East Coast to the central areas of the country. According to NWS, by tomorrow i.e. Thursday the heat will reach its peak in the Midwest and Mississippi Valley.
This intense heat will move toward the Ohio Valley and East Coast on Thursday and the holiday weekend. The temperature is going to be between 35 to 40.6 degrees Celsius. Earlier, there was severe heat in Europe also. Record breaking heat was recorded in many countries.
Many old records may be broken
Due to high humidity, the heat index can reach 100 to 115 Fahrenheit (38C-46C), which is quite dangerous. Old temperature records may be broken at many places on Thursday and Friday. In some places, the record of highest heat is also likely to be broken. Meanwhile, in New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani has started an emergency plan. Hundreds of cooling centers have been opened across the city. Even in Detroit city, the temperature can go up to 38 degrees Celsius, so many entertainment centers there have been opened with air conditioners.
Heat created havoc in Europe
At present, there is an outcry due to heat in Europe also. Temperature records were broken in many countries. In countries considered cold, the mercury has reached 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. This scorching heat has disrupted people’s lives. More than 1300 people have died so far. 1000 people have lost their lives in France alone. Most of those who died were elderly, whose age was 65 years and above. Scientists say that this dangerous heatwave is the result of climate change and the effect of El Nino.
