While there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among Congress workers and supporters on this historic occasion, a teacher from Bengaluru is feeling proud of the achievement and success of her former student. What can be a greater matter of pride for a teacher than the fact that the person he taught is now going to become the head of the state. We are talking about DK Shivakumar.
DK Shivakumar, one of the veteran leaders of Congress, is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. On this occasion, his former teacher Parvati expressed happiness over his success and shared many memories of his student life. He said that since childhood he saw leadership potential in Shivkumar.
‘Average in studies but ahead in other things’
Parvati told that she had taught DK Shivkumar from class five to class seven. She was his science and English subject teacher. He said that Shivakumar was an average student in studies, although he was always ahead in sports and other activities. He said that he was very mischievous and mischievous but he had all the leadership qualities.

‘Leadership was in his blood…’
He said that qualities of determination and leadership abilities were evident in Shivakumar even before his adolescence. He said, ‘He had all the necessary qualities of a leader. Leadership was in his blood. He was always on the path of becoming a leader. He used to lead school sports and tried to maintain his dominance in the class despite not being at the top in studies. We all liked this thing about him very much.
The teacher said that Shivakumar used to regularly participate in every program of the school, be it debate, speech, dance or drama. He further said that he used to participate in them with full enthusiasm. He was his favorite student. He said that his energy and confidence made him different from other students.
Teachers and students always stay in touch
The relationship between teacher and student never fades with time. He told that he remained in constant touch with Shivakumar even during his rapid rise in Karnataka politics. He said, ‘I had attended his wedding. When he became MLA, I met him in a hotel. I was in constant touch with him because when I opened my school I sought his help in getting permission from the education department. He always stood with me.
Expressed happiness on becoming Chief Minister
Expressing happiness over her former student becoming the Chief Minister, Parvati said that this is a very proud moment for her. Describing the post of Chief Minister as the highest post of the state, he said that Shivkumar has achieved this position on the strength of his hard work and struggle. He said, ‘I am very excited to attend his swearing-in ceremony. This is a proud occasion for me too.
The teacher gave a message to her student
The teacher also gave a message for her former student who took over the reins of the state. He urged them to focus on the future of the younger generation, especially with regard to digital habits. He said, ‘I have a message for him, he should bring educational reforms in the interest of the common man and students of Karnataka. I would also like to request them to bring some changes regarding screen time. I want them to bring such flexible rules which are suitable for the youth, college going students and school students of our state.
