After this, it seemed as if there was a queue of flop films in Karisma’s career. Films like ‘Zubaida’, ‘Aashiq’, ‘Ha Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya’, ‘Shakti’ and ‘Rishte’ flopped badly at the box office. ‘Mere Jeevan Sathi’, released in 2006, was also a superflop.

Big shock of 2012

After marriage and children, when Karisma tried to make a comeback on the big screen in 2012 with Vikram Bhatt’s film ‘Dangerous Ishq’, she got a big shock. This 3D film based on reincarnation flopped so badly at the box office that Karishma stayed away from theatres. In fact, there was a lot of turmoil in his personal life at that time. Due to the long legal battle of divorce from husband Sanjay Kapoor and then the responsibility of her two children as a single mother, she took a long break from acting.
