The story of swallowing the sun as a fruit

According to mythology, when Hanuman ji was very young, one day he mistook the red sun rising in the sky for a ripe fruit. Wanting to eat it, they flew into the sky at high speed. All the gods were surprised to see his amazing bravery. It is said that at that time Lord Indra attacked Hanuman ji with his thunderbolt, due to which he got injured on his chin. After this, Vayu Dev became angry and stopped the flow of air in the entire world. Then all the gods together gave many divine boons to Bal Hanuman. In this very childhood, he started getting special respect due to his extraordinary strength and bravery.

According to another famous story, Hanuman ji was very playful in his childhood. In his games, he used to create obstacles in the penance of many sages. Then the sages cursed him that he would forget his divine powers unless someone reminded him of them. Later, when he had to cross the sea to search for Mother Sita, Jamwant reminded Hanuman ji of his powers. After this he assumed a huge form and reached Lanka and completed the work of Lord Shri Ram. This story tells that the child form of Hanuman ji was not only a symbol of innocence but also of immense power.

According to religious scholars, the tradition of calling Hanuman ji Bala ji is considered to be linked to his childlike form, divine power and eternal youth. Devotees believe that in the form of Bala Ji, Hanuman Ji removes all the troubles of his devotees, protects them from negative powers and provides courage, confidence and positive energy.

There is a religious belief that the devotees who worship Balaji with a true heart, the obstacles in their lives gradually start going away. Reciting Hanuman Chalisa, reciting Sunderkand and offering vermilion, jasmine oil and jaggery-gram on Tuesday and Saturday is considered especially auspicious. It is believed that by the grace of Bala Ji, a person gets relief from fear, enemy obstacles, mental stress and negative influences.
