Different trends were seen in the data according to the states. Among the larger states, Karnataka recorded an 11 per cent increase in SGST collections over pre-settlement in May, while Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh recorded an increase of 8 per cent, 11 per cent and 9 per cent respectively. Kerala saw a massive growth of 19 percent, while Gujarat’s collection increased by 3 percent. After IGST settlement, Karnataka’s SGST revenue in May increased by 17 per cent year-on-year, Gujarat by 16 per cent, Andhra Pradesh by 16 per cent, Kerala by 15 per cent and Telangana by 14 per cent.
