Grand reunion of stars in ‘King’, Shahrukh Khan will be seen with some after 31 years, and with some after 20 years

Shah Rukh Khan King Reunion: Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ is one of the most awaited films of this year. Last year, the teaser of King was released on Shahrukh Khan’s 60th birthday, after which the craze for it increased even more. Currently the shooting of the film is going on, which was recently being done in South Africa. At the same time, now the shooting of ‘King’ is taking place in Mumbai and about two months of shooting is left. Along with the shooting, the makers are also carrying forward the post-production work. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ is very special in itself. But one reason has made it special. There is going to be a grand reunion of many big stars in ‘King’, that is, Shahrukh Khan is going to work with many stars in this picture after a very long time. While Shahrukh Khan is working with some people again after a decade, he is sharing the screen with some after 20 or 30 years.

‘King’, being made under the direction of Siddharth Anand, is going to be a big reunion. in this movie Shahrukh Khan Deepika Padukone will play the lead role opposite. Apart from Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan will also be seen in this film. At the same time, the same old 90s friendship is going to be seen in ‘King’. Shahrukh Khan is going to share the screen with Anil Kapoor after 31 years, with Rani Mukherjee after 20 years and with Jackie Shroff after 12 years.

Anil Kapoor in King

Anil Kapoor will be seen playing an important role in ‘King’. Anil Kapoor was last seen with Shahrukh Khan in the film ‘Tripurti’ (1995), which was released 31 years ago. This is the only film in which these two actors were seen together. At the same time, Saurabh Shukla will also be seen in ‘King’. SRK has worked with Saurabh Shukla thrice – in ‘Badshah’ (1999), ‘Hey Ram’ (2000) and ‘Mohabbatein’ (2000). In such a situation, after 26 years both of them will be seen together again in a film.

Shahrukh Khan and Arshad Warsi

Shahrukh Khan and Arshad Warsi have not shared the screen together in full-fledged roles in any film. However, Shahrukh did an interesting and important cameo in Arshad Warsi’s film ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’ (2005). But now both will be seen sharing the screen through ‘King’.

Jackie Shroff and Abhishek Bachchan worked with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Happy New Year’ (2014), which was their last film with the superstar. Jackie and SRK had previously worked together in ‘King Uncle’ (1993), ‘One 2 Ka 4’ (2001) and ‘Devdas’ (2002). At the same time, SRK and Abhishek had shared the screen in ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ before ‘Happy New Year’.

Rani’s company after 20 years

Shahrukh Khan will be seen on the big screen with Rani Mukherjee after 20 years. Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukerji were last seen together in ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ (2006). Shahrukh and Rani Mukherjee have worked together 7 times – ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), ‘Hey Ram’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001), ‘Chalte-Chalte’ (2003), ‘Veer-Zaara’ (2004), ‘Paheli’ (2005) and ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’. SRK was seen in a cameo in Rani Mukerji’s ‘Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega’ (2000) and ‘Saathiya’ (2002). Rani Mukherjee appeared in cameo roles in Shahrukh Khan’s films ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ (2003), ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ (2008). In this way both of them have done 12 films in total.

Jaideep Ahlawat in King

Jaideep Ahlawat played a supporting role in ‘Raees’ (2017), which was his only film with SRK. Talking about Deepika Padukone, SRK and Deepika have worked together five times so far and all these films have proved to be huge hits – ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Pathan’ (2023) and ‘Jawaan’. Deepika also gave a special appearance in Shahrukh’s films ‘Billu’ (2009) and ‘Zero’ (2018). At the same time, actors like Akshay Oberoi, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Faheem Fazli and Karanvir Malhotra will also be seen in ‘King’, who will share the screen with Shahrukh Khan for the first time.

When will the king’s work be completed?

The makers of ‘King’ are aiming to complete the film by the end of July. This includes patchwork, action scenes, coordination of VFX and another schedule, all of which will be completed together before the final wrap. ‘King’ is produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. Shahrukh Khan’s King is set to release in theaters on 24 December 2026.
