Favorite place of powerful personalities
Lutyens’ Square, situated right in the middle of Delhi, has been the favorite destination of the country’s most powerful personalities for a long time. This is a place where many generations of influential people passed, but they never got entry here. Even after paying a hefty corporate membership fee of Rs 20 lakh, industrialists and big companies remained stuck in the waiting list for years, yearning to get a single membership. Yet, this impenetrable empire of influence, wealth and prestige is now on the verge of collapsing like a house of cards.
The club is near the Prime Minister’s residence.
This 27.3-acre VVIP base located near the Prime Minister’s residence will now be completely dedicated to the country’s security and military infrastructure, which has caused a major uproar in the power corridors of Delhi. Explaining the reason for this, the government has said that 27.3 acres of land is necessary to “strengthen and secure the defense infrastructure”. That is why this strict decision has been taken. However, no statement from any leader of the opposition parties has yet come on this decision of the government.
