The demand for AI is increasing rapidly, according to a recent report, Anthropic had initially selected some companies to test the Mythos AI model. After the order of the US government, its other versions were completely discontinued, but some companies still have access to the preview of the system.
Access was limited to 200 companies
The company that made Claude had limited the Mythos preview to about 200 organizations (which included the US government) under the Glasswing program. This step was taken after the model identified thousands of software vulnerabilities.
A less powerful version of Mythos was publicly released, but was later shut down under Washington’s export control directive to prevent access to all foreign nationals due to national security concerns. Companies like Dragos and Cisco Systems confirmed to Bloomberg News that they continue to have access to the Mythos preview. The Bloomberg report also said that it was not clear how Anthropic was giving access to different Glasswing members.
The report also said that European cybersecurity agency Enisa, which was invited to join Glasswing before it was blocked by the US government, has been informed that the agency will no longer be granted access. IPO-ready Anthropic’s relationship with the government soured this year when it refused to allow the US military to use its AI models for domestic surveillance and fully automatic weapons systems.
