
Finally, after a long wait, Sony has launched RX10 V camera in the global market, which is a new variant of its Cybershot compact camera lineup. According to the company, this fifth generation model is equipped with ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 lens, which has 25x optical zoom. It features a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, coupled with Sony’s own BIONZ XR image processor. Sony has also provided AI processing unit for real-time recognition autofocus in the camera. It supports video recording up to 4K 120fps.

The Sony RX10 V features a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with approximately 20.1 megapixels, equipped with the BIONZ XR image processing engine. The company has installed a fixed Zeiss Vario-Sonar T lens with an equivalent focal range of 24-600 mm, 25x optical zoom and aperture ranging from f2.4 to f4.0. The company claims that this camera supports macro photography ranging from 3 cm in wide angle to 72 cm in telephoto angle.

Camera supports slow-motion playback
For video recording, this camera supports 4K recording at up to 120fps and slow-motion playback at up to 5x. It also offers features like 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, S-Cinetone, S-Log3, Active Mode Image Stabilization, user-imported LUT support, auto framing, time-lapse and shot marks for still extraction. For audio, Sony’s Multi Interface Shoe has been used in it, which works with compatible digital microphones.
The Sony RX10 V features a 0.5-inch quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder with 3.68 million dots and 0.78x, as well as a 3.0-inch tilting LCD touchscreen with 1.62 million dots.
