‘Such incidents should stop immediately’

The Foreign Ministry said in its statement that incidents of targeting commercial ships and civilian infrastructure in the region should stop immediately. Also, in accordance with international law, uninterrupted and safe navigation and trade on sea routes should be restored as soon as possible.

Tension increased between America and Iran

The US Central Command said that the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked the GFS Galaxy ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz, after which US President Donald Trump ordered another air strike against Iran. The command said that the Iranian attack caused a fire in the engine room and caused significant damage to the ship, due to which the container ship could not continue its journey.

The IRGC Navy said in a statement that the GFS Galaxy had endangered maritime security by shutting down its systems, so it was attacked and stopped. He also announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
