emini 3.5 Flash Low: On Tuesday, May 26, Google introduced a new Gemini 3.5 Flash Low model for the users of its AI coding platform Antigravity. The company says that this new variant will spend less tokens and will save users from the trouble of exhausting the rate limit early. Recently, Google had removed the message based system and implemented compute based usage system, after which many users complained that tokens are getting exhausted rapidly even in simple tasks. Now the company has launched this new model to solve this problem.
New model came after complaint about token limit
Giving information on X, Varun Mohan, who handles antigravity at Google DeepMind, said that many users had complained that too many tokens were being spent even for simple tasks. Keeping this in mind, the company has prepared Gemini 3.5 Flash Low variant. According to Google, this model uses about 45 percent fewer tokens in output, but there is no compromise in performance. The company claims that this software gives better results in engineering tasks. Earlier, users were facing the problem of the rate limit ending very quickly, due to which many people were continuously complaining.
Now the flash model is divided into three parts
Google has now divided its Gemini 3.5 flash model into three different variants. The earlier model will now be called Gemini 3.5 Flash Medium. Apart from this, the high variant has been prepared for more complex and heavy tasks. Whereas the new low variant is considered better for simple and everyday tasks. The company says that with this, users will be able to run their projects for a long time and the tokens will not expire quickly. Google had recently changed its usage system to a compute-based model, after which there was a continuous debate regarding the consumption of tokens.
Free users also got benefit
Google not only launched the new model but also reset the Gemini quota of all plans this week. Free users will also benefit from this. The company wants users to be able to complete their AI projects without interruption. Meanwhile, some users also complained about the image generation limit. One user said that 1000 images can be generated on Codex, but only 24 images are being generated in Antigravity’s Ultra plan. On this, Varun Mohan admitted that this limit is very low and there is a need to increase it. However, he did not give any official information regarding the new limit.
