July 4, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Garuda Old Wisdom: Garuda Purana has a special place in Sanatan Dharma. It is included in 18 Maha Puranas. In this, birth, death, sin, virtue, heaven, hell and the journey of the soul are explained in detail. However, this is not just the scripture after death. It is also considered an accurate guide to live life. Garuda Purana says that the success and failure of a person depends on his company.

The people with whom a person spends more time have a direct impact on his thoughts, his energy and his future. If you want positivity, progress and mental peace to remain in your life, then Garuda Purana advises to keep distance from some people who can become obstacles in your progress.

One should always stay away from such people

  • The person who always cries and blames others for the problems in his life should maintain distance. Negative energy comes from such people, which can reduce your enthusiasm.
  • One should maintain distance from those who follow the path of unrighteousness and make fun of the rules and norms of the society. Such people are considered characterless. Your character can also be tarnished by living with them. Such people always show the wrong path.
  • One should never be around people who use others for their own selfish ends. Such people are not relatives of anyone. According to Garuda Purana, one should never have any expectation of love and trust from such people. Because he can get cheated anytime.
  • Garuda Purana also advises to keep distance from those people who get very angry on small things and who are arrogant. There is no peace with such people. Mental peace can be disturbed by being with such people.
  • One should always stay away from people who gossip about others and speak ill of them behind their backs. Not only this, one should also maintain distance from sycophant people. The company of such people is dangerous.
