Temple Theft Sin: There are many ancient temples across the country, where devotees bow their heads before their God and have darshan of them. Also donate in the donation box of the temple as per faith and capacity. The donated money is used by the members of the temple committee for the Bhandara and other needs of the temple. The money from temples is also used in social works. It is very wrong to steal money from social work and charity.

At present, the case of theft of donations in Ram temple is in the news, but do you know that if someone steals from the donation box of the temple, what punishment does Yamraj give to his soul in Yamalok after death? If not, then this has been explained in great detail in Garuda Purana. Garuda Purana is included in 18 Mahapuranas. In this, theft in the temple is considered a great sin. According to Garuda Purana, let us know what terrible punishment Yamraj gives to those who steal in the temple?

According to Garuda Purana…

It is said in Garuda Purana that those who steal the jewelery and valuables of God from the temple become guilty of sin. It is a great sin to steal things and donated items from the temple. Yamraj gives a punishment named Vajramahapeeda in Yamalok to those who steal God’s idols, bells and donation money from the temple. The sinful souls who do not follow religion have to suffer this punishment.

What is Vajramahapid punishment?

According to Garuda Purana, sinful souls suffer extremely severe pain during the punishment of Vajramahapida. In this punishment, on the orders of Yamraj, Yamdoots crush and suppress the sinful souls with iron thunderbolts (weapons). With this he kills the sinful souls with a heavy iron thunderbolt.
