Gangster Nitish Kaushal arrested in America, was included in FBI’s most wanted list

Indian gangster Nitish Kaushal has been arrested in America. Recently, he was included in the wanted list by the American security agency Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Kaushal is accused of being part of an international criminal organization, incidents of kidnapping and assault as well as drug trafficking in America. Giving information about the arrest, FBI said that Nitish Kaushal has been arrested in Vermont.

According to FBI, Nitish Kaushal is also known as ‘Lala’. He is about 26 years old and is said to be an important member of Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya Group. This gang also carried out criminal incidents in America via Punjab. The FBI says that this gang has been involved in serious criminal activities like murder, kidnapping, drug trafficking, extortion, arms smuggling, money laundering and human trafficking.

Arrest warrant was issued against Nitish Kaushal on June 25

According to the agency, Nitish Kaushal is also accused of carrying out violent incidents, especially kidnapping and attacks, on behalf of this gang. On June 25, 2026, the Federal Court of the Central District of California, USA had issued an arrest warrant against Nitish Kaushal in the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy case. The FBI had earlier described him as armed, extremely dangerous and a suspect who was likely to abscond.

Action taken against Nitish Kaushal under Operation Hard Ball

FBI has taken this action against Nitish Kaushal under Operation Hard Ball. This is a joint operation of American FBI, DEA, HSI and other agencies. These agencies are taking action against organized crime networks operating from India and Canada in the US, which have been accused of being involved in drug smuggling and violent crimes in the US.

During this entire operation, the investigating agencies have seized approximately 1,000 kg of cocaine, 1 kg of heroin, 40 thousand dollars in cash and 12 weapons. A simultaneous search operation has been conducted at 23 places in the Sacramento area of ​​California and 11 places in the Los Angeles area.

The FBI has included 37 criminals in its charge sheet under Operation Hard Ball, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Ravinder Singh Dhanda, Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara. This action against these criminals has been taken as part of the investigation related to many cases including international organized crime, drug trafficking, hawala business, arms trade, extortion, murder and murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
