Recently, actress Emilia Clarke, who plays the role of ‘Mother of Dragon’ i.e. Daenerys Targaryen in the show, revealed an old truth.
The actress played a very prominent role in the show. Emilia has been a part of Shay since the beginning. His character has been one of the biggest and important characters of the show, which often brings new twists in the story. In such a situation, the popularity of Daenerys Targaryen is also very high. Regarding Emilia, the fans were worried that for each episode of the final season, the actress had charged a fee of 3 lakh dollars i.e. approximately Rs 2.5 crore.
I didn’t earn that much
In an interview given to Variety, the actress told that this is not the case at all. The actress said- ‘This has been said quite exaggeratedly. We didn’t earn that much. Can you imagine? Had I earned this much, I would have had many Porsche cars today. The actress further said that yes, she did get so much money from the show that she was able to afford a good life, get treatment for her illness and support her family properly.
The first season came in 2011
Talking about her character, Emilia said- Whatever was given to me in every season, I played it thinking that I am not Emilia but Daenerys. What would she do, this was my thought. I did everything thinking this. Let us tell you that the first episode of the show premiered on HBO in the year 2011. The last season of the show i.e. season 8 came in the year 2019. The show has been given a rating of 9.3 on IMDB and in India you can watch it in Hindi on Jio Hotstar.
