
Indian intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies have described Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Shahzad Bhatti as the mastermind of the new terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH). According to the investigating agencies, Bhatti is conducting the propaganda and operational activities of this organization from Pakistan. This disclosure came after the recent action of Delhi Police Special Cell and central agencies.
Investigation has revealed that Delhi Police Special Cell had earlier arrested an accused Sohail, who also had a criminal record. During interrogation, it was revealed that Shahzad Bhatti had assigned him the work of writing TTH at many places in Delhi and Faridabad. According to the agencies, S was asked to be written below TTH to indicate that Bhatti was behind the organization. It is being told that in return funding was also given from Pakistan.
Indian policemen on target
According to sources, another big revelation has come to light in the investigation. Agencies claim that Shahzad Bhatti and his Pakistani associates were conspiring to target Indian policemen. Delhi Police Special Cell had recently arrested three youths who were in direct contact with Bhatti, Abid Jatt and Ajmal Gujjar. These youth were instructed to make videos with weapons and attack the policeman and record the video. In return, they were lured to pay a huge amount.
Attempt to attack Uttar Pradesh soldier
According to the investigating agencies, following these instructions, the three accused chased a Uttar Pradesh Police jawan and made a video of the chase. He tried to fire at the jawan, but the country-made pistol got jammed and the bullet did not fire. When the policeman turned, the accused fled from the spot, but later the Special Cell traced them and arrested them.
Purpose to spread terror in India
A senior official said that from both these cases it has become clear that Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH) is a proxy network being run with the support of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, whose objective is to spread terror in India and target security forces. This is an organization run by Bhatti.
Efforts to connect youth to the network
Along with this, investigation has also revealed that Shahzad Bhatti was trying to connect the youth of India to his network through social media and encrypted platforms. Even before this, Delhi Police and other agencies had busted his module. People associated with his network have been arrested in many states.
A youth arrested from Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand STF had also recently arrested a youth, who is accused of conducting recce of sensitive military and government establishments for Pakistan-based handlers. Agencies say that this entire network was trying to push the youth towards radicalism and terrorist activities through social media.
Take TTH’s hand in the murder of two policemen in Punjab
Earlier, TTH’s name had also cropped up in the case of murder of two policemen in Punjab. In a viral video on social media, this organization had claimed responsibility, while Shahzad Bhatti had allegedly supported the attack.
Security agencies engaged in investigation
Security agencies are now thoroughly investigating Shahzad Bhatti’s modules, funding network and his contacts spread across India. Officials say that this network operated from Pakistan was trying to increase terrorist and criminal activities in India. The agencies are trying to trace other members of Bhatti’s gang.
