Recently Shiv Sena Uddhav faction suffered a big blow. Their MPs rebelled and joined Shinde’s Shiv Sena. The displeasure of these rebel MPs was due to the fact that there is no money or lack of it to do development work in their area. This is the reason why he was forced to join the ruling Shinde faction. But the reality is something else. Let us know…
According to the report of Hindustan Times, the truth of these rebel MPs is that they spent only 1.07 to 26.84 percent of their allotted money. This has come to light from the data of three years of MPLADS website of the Central Government. Under the MPLADS scheme, every MP gets Rs 5 crore every year so that they can get the necessary development work done in their area.
Fund of Rs 100 crore, only 1/4th spent
At the same time, if the money from the MP fund is not spent, it is automatically added to the next year. The report available on MPLADS portal shows that these six rebel MPs of Shiv Sena UBT had a total of around Rs 100 crore. Of these, on an average they spent only Rs 13.60 crore in the last two financial years and the first quarter of this year.
